Location report doc

The reasoning behind the choice of location is purely to do with how exposed
The field is and how the set would not need much dressing to emphasise the criminality of the independent film. I tried to replicate a Mexican open land so a quarry would of been perfect, but all quarries needed authorised access. A close second I felt would be an open space with natural settings. Luckily in my 9 shots I had good wether so it was easy to replicate the country Itself. All be if the field in the photos I took for the location report was sunny, it would be better. In the back drop you can see containers. I have used these as part of the set to create a sense of mystery. 'Whats in the containers' the answer is mostly money and drugs, again referring to the meat and bones of criminality and the fight against drug cartels and drug lords. I have enhance the definition and sharpness of the grass and features in my mine key frames to make it look more like an exotic country also.

The next location where my film was shot, is not actually a closet 'like I intended' but it's a floor shot looking up a chimney. The reason for this is that it is a very small and confined space, making it easy for me to justify using is at a closet. There is also old brickwork and insects that appear to be in the shot, which adds to the impact is has on ophelia. I felt that also by using this shot, I could edit it to seem like it was smaller than it actually was.

The that I took of ophelia on the floor under the blanket, I was aiming for a realistic documentary style shot, to show that ophelia was almost being filmed. This creates a sense of realism which relates closely to my contextual study, proving that in indepent films, the representation of criminality is less glorified as independent films tend to have more of a moral than a profit.
